On The Day

On the day

Book first. Send photos of your documents from your phone and we check them in advance. On the day, we match your approved documents against the originals — please bring the originals themselves; without them, we can't let you ride.

Meet at the Harajuku base

Walking distance from JR Harajuku and Meiji-jingumae. We'll look after your bags.

Licence check

We only match your already-approved documents against the originals. No queueing.

Change and gear up

Costumes are free. We hand you a helmet and a vest.

Pick your kart design

Choose a body design from the ones on display. That design goes on your kart, and that's the kart you ride.

Photos before the ride

Our staff photograph you with the kart you picked, in costume, before you set off.

Safety briefing (15 min)

How to drive the kart and how the convoy works, in Japanese and English.

Practice lap

Get a feel for the brake and the throttle on our own ground before heading out.

Departure

Your guide leads. Keep the convoy and obey the lights as you drive the city.

Photo stops

We stop on the route for photos. Rent a GoPro to film while you drive.

Return

Back at the base, hand in your gear, change, and you're done.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can someone without a licence come along?

They can't ride in a kart. Everyone drives their own, and there are no passenger seats. They are welcome to wait at the base.

Can I get an International Driving Permit in Japan?

No. An International Driving Permit can only be issued by the country that issued your licence. Please arrange it before you travel.

What happens if it rains?

We run in light rain. If we decide to cancel for severe weather, you get a full refund or a free change of date.

Can I join on my own?

Yes. Departures are small — up to 8 riders — and a guide leads the way.

When do you check my licence documents?

After you book. At booking you only choose your nationality and the country that issued your licence; you send the photos from your phone afterwards. Send them at least 48 hours before departure and we review them before you arrive. On the day we only match them against the originals.

How early should I arrive?

We send the meeting time in your confirmation email.

Can I leave my luggage?

We'll look after it at the base. Please keep valuables with you.

How do I pay?
